SPA400 Voicemail to Email with Call Ctrl
Overview
By default the SPA400 does not support the voice mail to email functionality. The Call Ctrl developers are currently looking into options to support this voicemail to email functionality on the SPA400. There are several limitations in place on the SPA400 that make this difficult. These limitations prevents direction manipulation of the SPA400 source code. Even if we were able to make the SPA400 support this feature in development the distribution of this solution is difficult because anytime a firmware release is installed it would wipe out any modification made. This makes it imperative for Cisco to support the solution.
We are investigating alternative means of accessing these messages and then using Call Ctrl to forward to a SMTP server for email delivery. All the technologies are there and will post back on the progress of getting this much desired feature. As long as we can allow access to the SPA400, Call Ctrl can access these voicemails.
