Overview
The error message 401 Unauthorized is an error messages that indicates there was an authentication problem. Call Ctrl utilizes SIP Authentication and is configured during the Settings Wizard automatically.
Resolution
This issue can generally be rectified by re-running the Settings Wizard. This will effect reset all username and password values and generate current values taken directly from the SPA9000 and SPA phone.
Perform the following steps to reset the SIP Authentication:

Shutdown Call Ctrl

Delete the user.config file that holds all Call Ctrl settings which include the SIP username and password. The file can be deleted by deleting the following directory by entering Start/Run:

Variables can be used: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\CTRL_IT_Inc\

C:\Documents and Settings\ <<USERNAME>> \Local Settings\Application Data\CTRL_IT_Inc
Variables can be used: %USERPROFILE\Local Settings\Application Data\CTRL_IT_Inc

Reboot the SPA phone.

After the SPA phone is running after the reboot, start Call Ctrl.

The Settings Wizard should automatically launch. If not, the settings file was not delete properly.

Complete the Settings Wizard and restart Call Ctrl.
Call Ctrl should now authenticate properly to the SPA phone.
